Call to Action: Herd Immunity in Jeopardy. Stop Arizona Immunization Rates From Falling Lower
Three Bills in AZ Legislature Will Impact AZ Immunization Rates
You've seen many of the headlines. Members of the Arizona House of Representatives will be voting this week on three bills that will impact vaccination rates in Arizona - HB2470, 2471, & 2472.
All of these bills will lead to more children not being immunized and will create obstacles to immunization. Additionally, passage of these bills will confuse parents about the efficacy and importance of obtaining vaccinations for their children and how it will impact the lives of persons who cannot obtain vaccinations due to age or existing health conditions.
Time is of the Essence
AzNA has identified an opportunity to sway the votes of several key Representatives in order to stop these bills from moving forward.

Dear Representative [LAST NAME];
As a proud Arizona nurse, I urge you to vote no on three bills that will lead to more children not being immunized, HB2470, 2471, and 2472.
These bills will lower Arizona vaccinations rates, create a larger potential for dangerous and deadly disease outbreaks, and confuse parents about the efficacy and importance of obtaining vaccinations for their children. Additionally, these bills impact the lives of persons who cannot obtain vaccinations due to age or existing health conditions, putting our most vulnerable at risk for permanent debilitation and even death.
As a nurse, ....[insert personal story to support any of the above here]
Please vote NO on HB2470, 2471, & 2472.
