Position Description

We have a rewarding opportunity for a Bilingual Nurse Practitioner to join and grow our brand-new retail-based healthcare clinics for Equality Medical Group. These clinics will be located within grocery stores and are integral to furthering our mission to focus on underserved areas and add essential access points to our continuum of care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Examine patients and record patients’ medical history to determine health concerns; conduct routine check-ups to assess their health condition

  • Assess and treat common illnesses for patients over 18 months

  • Perform health screenings; prescribe medications as needed to patients in specified age categories

  • Perform therapeutic procedures, such as immunizations, injections, wound care, or managing infection

  • Perform non-clinical tasks as necessary (e.g., financial transactions, reporting, vaccination temperature management, clinic appearance)

  • Develop a close working relationship with retail store manager and pharmacist at the clinic location

  • Cultivate a climate of trust and compassion for patients; actively serve as a role model and exemplify Equality Health’s mission

    and values

  • Identify opportunities within the local community for the development of outreach activities

    Ideal candidates will possess:

  • Experience working with underserved populations, in a community health setting or the AHCCCS system of care, and a strong understanding of multicultural issues

  • Doctorate of Nursing Practice (DNP) or Master’s degree in Nursing (MSN) with two (2) years of experience in Primary Care •

  • Bilingual; able to read, write, and speak Spanish and English

  • Ability to receive and maintain DPS Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card and DEA license

  • Clinic location in the southwest valley of Phoenix, AZ

  • Able to work choice shifts – 3/12 hours, 4/10hours

Current National Board Certification
